Conditions of Entry

1. Vehicle Photographs
   Current photographs of the entered vehicle must accompany each entry if you wish to be considered for display inside the Fred Moule Exhibition Centre. Allocation of indoor display space is at the discretion of the Event Coordinator.


2. Vehicle Accessibility
   Vehicles entered for judging must have their bonnet, boot and doors unlocked and accessible during the judging period. Vehicles that cannot be fully inspected may not be judged.


3. Vehicle Display
   All entered vehicles must remain on display for the duration of the event unless prior written approval has been obtained from the Event Coordinator.


4. Arrival and Departure
   Vehicles must arrive and depart during the times specified by the Cairns Show Auto Spectacular. Early departure without approval may result in exclusion from judging and future events.


5. Vehicle Condition
   All vehicles must be presented in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition. The Cairns Show Association reserves the right to refuse entry to any vehicle considered unsafe or unsuitable.


6. Insurance
   All participating vehicles must have current Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance and a minimum of Third Party Property Damage insurance for the duration of the event.


7. Behaviour
   Entrants must conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner at all times and comply with all directions issued by Event Officials, Committee Members, volunteers and security personnel.


8. Event Compliance
   Failure to comply with these Conditions of Entry or any direction issued by an Event Official may result in disqualification, removal from the event and forfeiture of entry fees.

Waiver, Acknowledgement, Declaration & Indemnity

Participation in the Cairns Show Auto Spectacular, including all displays, competitions, demonstrations, driving activities and associated events, involves inherent risks. By submitting this entry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to the following conditions.

1. Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that participation in this event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Personal injury or death;
• Damage to vehicles or other property;
• Mechanical failure;
• Financial loss.

I voluntarily accept these risks and participate entirely at my own risk.

2. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless the Cairns Show Association Inc., its Committee Members, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, agents, sponsors and event officials from liability for any injury, loss, theft or damage suffered by me or my property while attending or participating in this event.

Nothing in this declaration excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.

3. Insurance Requirements

I declare that the entered vehicle:

• Has current Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance;
• Has a minimum of Third Party Property Damage Insurance;
• Is roadworthy and mechanically safe; and
• Is suitable for participation in the activities entered.

4. Driver Declaration

I declare that:

• I hold a current and valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle entered (where applicable);
• I am medically fit to drive;
• I will not participate while under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or any medication that may impair my ability to safely operate a vehicle.

5. Vehicle Safety

The Cairns Show Association reserves the right to inspect any vehicle and may refuse entry or remove any vehicle considered unsafe, unsuitable or not complying with event requirements.

6. Conduct

I agree to follow all directions issued by Event Officials, Committee Members, volunteers, security personnel and authorised representatives.

Unsafe, reckless, abusive or inappropriate behaviour may result in:

• Immediate removal from the event;
• Disqualification from competitions;
• Cancellation of entry;
• Removal of the vehicle; and
• No refund of entry fees.

7. Event Decisions

All decisions made by the Event Coordinator, Chief Steward and authorised Event Officials regarding safety, competition and event operations are final.

8. Photography & Media

I acknowledge that photographs, video footage and drone footage may be taken during the event. I consent to the Cairns Show Association using images containing myself or my vehicle for promotional, marketing and archival purposes without compensation.

9. Event Changes

The Cairns Show Association reserves the right to postpone, alter or cancel any activity due to weather, safety concerns or operational requirements.
