NO refund will be given if Stabling and Camping are cancelled after this date.

Section 6 - Stabling Information & Declaration
Information
1. Stables will be limited. Preference for allocation of stables will be given to competitors south of Gordonvale and north of Palm Cove. Local competitors will be allocated stables after the closing date.
2. Use of the day stables is preferred by local daily competitors. To assist local daily competitors a float parking area has been established on the Eastern end of the Main Arena. Access to the Main Arena is via Severin Street Gate
3. The Stable Steward’s decision in any matter regarding stabling is final!
a. I confirm that my horse/s are stabled outside the area noted above: b. I acknowledge that my horse/s are stabled inside the area noted above, and will be allocated a Stable/s, if available, after the publicized closing date.
Regulations/Conditions
1. Only horses for which permission has been obtained and fees paid will be allocated a stable, authorised stock will be impounded.
2. All fees are to be paid in advance. An owner who falls into arrears of fees may be required to remove a horse/s from the Stables. It is not the responsibility of the Cairns show Association to collect fees onsite or to remind owners that fees are due.
3. Stables are not hired on the basis of being fit for any given purpose, hiring is deemed to be an agreement as to suitability.
4. Disputes between owners on matters concerning the Stables will not be tolerated. All concerns are to be reported to the Cairns Show Association, whose decision will be final.
5. Horses are not permitted to be penned outside a Stable or to graze the grass areas adjacent to the facility.
6. Stables are to be cleaned morning and night and manure removed from the Stable/s.
7. Horses are to be fed at least once each day and a permanent supply of fresh drinking water to be available. This is the responsibility of the owner.
8. The Cairns Show Association reserves the right to call in a vet for any animal deemed to be in need of attention and all costs involved will be charged to the owner.
9. The owner provides a device/devices by which the horse/s can be secured in the stable to prevent it/them being turned loosed by unauthorised persons.
10. The Cairns Show Association accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to stock or equipment.
11. No permanent or temporary fencing or other structures are permitted unless agreed upon by the Cairns Show Association.
12. No unloading of horses in Barlow Park. Unload on Scott Street.
Declaration
I hereby agree that I will pay, in advance, a weekly fee or part thereof per horse kept at the Cairns Showgrounds Stables (maximum two weeks).
I understand that the Cairns Show Association accepts no responsibility for horse/s or equipment kept at the Cairns Showgrounds.
I also agree that while utilising the Showground/Barlow Park facilities, I will move my horse/s within the areas directed by the Cairns Show Association. I have read and fully understood all of the Conditions and Regulations and will abide by the same.

Section 7 - Camping Information & Declaration
Information
1. Camping is only permitted between the 14th and 21st of July 2026, unless prior agreement is made with the Camping and Stabling Steward only.
2. Camping will be very limited and will be allocated at the Camp Steward’s discretion, whose decision in any matter regarding camping will be final. Due to congestion caused, only those vehicles approved and used for bona fide camping purposes will be permitted to remain within the campgrounds.
Regulations/Conditions
1. Campers must not contaminate waterways, roadside gutters, stormwater drainage, as per the Environmental Protection Regulation 2019 (refer to the attached Schedule 10 – Prescribed Water Contaminants). a. Laundry wastewater may be discharged to ground provided the lines are appropriately covered with a filter sock that measure between 50-100 micron. These socks must be securely attached to ensure no seepage (feet socks and stocking are not appropriate methods).
b. For compliance, your details will be passed on to the Cairns Regional Council.
2. All campers agree to leave their camp site in a clean and tidy manner.
3. The Cairns Show Association is operating under a COVID Safe Venue Plan and campers agree to comply with ALL health and safety measures in place.
