Stabling During the Show
Stabling is available onsite for competitors and exhibitors requiring overnight accommodation for their animals during the Cairns Show. Our stabling facilities are safe, secure, and conveniently located close to the competition areas for ease of access throughout the event.
Cost:
$22 per stable/horse
All stables must be pre-booked and paid in advance. No walk-ins accepted.

Stables are limited.

Day stables are preferred for local, daily competitors.

A float parking area is available on the Eastern end of the Main Arena, with access via the Severin Street Gate.
- The Stable Steward’s decision on any matter regarding stabling is final.
Stabling Regulations & Conditions

Only horses with approved permission and payment will be allocated a stable. Unauthorised stock will be impounded.

All fees must be paid in advance. Owners falling into arrears may be required to remove their horses from the facility.

Stables are not guaranteed to be fit for a specific purpose. Hire implies acceptance of their condition.

Disputes between owners will not be tolerated. All concerns must be reported to the Cairns Show Association, whose decision is final.

Horses are not permitted to be penned outside their designated stable or graze grass areas nearby.

Stables must be cleaned morning and night, with all manure removed.

Horses must be fed daily, and fresh water must be available at all times. This is the owner’s responsibility.

The Cairns Show Association may call a vet for any animal needing attention; costs will be charged to the owner.

Owners must secure horses with proper devices to prevent unauthorised release.

The Cairns Show Association accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to stock or equipment.

No fencing or structures (permanent or temporary) are permitted unless approved.

No unloading of horses in Barlow Park – all unloading must occur on Scott Street.
Booking Instructions
To secure a stable, please complete the Stabling Request Form and return it with payment to the Show Office before the closing date.
