The Cairns Showgirl Awards recognise and celebrate young women who demonstrate leadership, community involvement, confidence, and a commitment to the Cairns Show and agricultural industries.
The program has provided many women across Far North Queensland with the opportunity to become involved in one of Australia’s most valued traditions – their local Agricultural Show – while building confidence, professional skills, and lifelong connections.
Our aim is to support and develop connected, resilient young women while strengthening participation in the Show Movement and ensuring its sustainability throughout the region.
The winner of the Cairns Showgirl Awards will represent the Cairns Show Association at the North Queensland Sub-Chamber Showgirl Awards. If selected, the Sub-Chamber winner may progress to represent their community at the Queensland State Showgirl Awards.
