De Jarlais (De Jar Les) Function Centre
The perfect Function Centre for all occasions including weddings, formals, cocktail celebrations, birthdays (exc. 18th and 21st), anniversaries and social gatherings. Also suitable for smaller trade shows, workshops, seminars, meeting presentations and temporary pop-up shop fronts / sales.
The De Jarlais Function Centre is located directly opposite the Cairns Showgrounds Main Gate entrance off Mulgrave Road and Severin Street. The Main Gate features a permanent ticket box (available as an optional hire) and easy access point from off-street parking and bus stop less than 100 meters away.
This 2-leveled Function Centre is fully air-conditioned for all year round comfort, with each floor measuring over 500 square meters. Both levels of the De Jarlais Function can be booked together or separately.
Upstairs (Level 1)
Upstairs features large timber bay windows, which frame Cairns’ expansive mountainous views. This modern venue exudes old world charm.

Downstairs is the perfect venue for a pre-event reception area or could be hired for storage or hosted as a temporary shop / sales event.
